Default KY Lake Gills and Crackers

Went out 4-11-12 with a buddy and fought the wind all day long. We managed to catch lots of fish and brought home 21 nice gills. The wind was down on 4-12-12 so me and my neighbor gave it a try. We were drop shotting deep points with hand tied jigs tipped with worms. We caught a bunch of fish and brought home 32 gills, 2 crackers, and a crappie. We found a few new spots. The bluegill and crackers seem to be staging on deep water points waiting on the water temps to get more desireable in the bays. The water was 67-68 degrees. If we could get some warmer night temps, it will get real good. There were a bunch of crappie fishermen out but most seem to be catching short fish. I was just fine with the gills. So far, we've caught some very nice bluegills this year. Not all are huge, but there are some nice ones in the cooler.
