Default You Tube a great place to see fish reactions to lures and presentations

Last year I started doing searches on You Tube for bass and panfish lures, which many times includes underwater video of fish striking lures. What appealed to me was seeing finesse/dropshot hits to hits on jigs and spoons by many different species. Last week I wanted to see a particular video of a school of yellow perch hitting a spoon, but instead found videos of perch hitting other lures and prey.

In one video the camera captured the acceleraton of sunfish and perch chasing and capturing minnows from a few feet away. Another showed a perch inspecting a finesse lure barely moving before deciding to dine on it after 5 seconds. This in turn turned on a few nearby fish which also became frenzied regardless of the fish that were yanked out of the water. This relates to how fish may be wary of certain certain shapes, movements and vibrations, but not associate danger to fish caught on a specific lure in the same spot. (Which is why school fish are fantastic fun!)

Stuff like this can't but help you see the possibilities when using different lures and presentions and to dispel fallacies you read about from many sources.

Have U run across any videos on the tube with the show fish reacting to those little bitty rattle traps? I ve been using small crank baits but been thinking about trying a little tiny rattle trap on a micro spinning rig with 4 lb test...

The only video crankbaits I've seen are billed, square and round. Rat L Traps are faster moving and might not get hit by panfish that like to take their time hitting artificials vs. the real thing which gets them super-excited and motivated to chase and bite.
