A Nice Mess of Pond Bream
This past weekend I had the rare opportunity to take my kid sister fishing. She finally got to break in a fishing rod I got her for her birthday, and it couldn't have been a better day to go.We probably caught 40 bluegill, bass and shellcrackers, and ended up keeping 15 or so for dinner. We cast to the bank with good, old-fashioned red worms under corks. I had left most of my fishing gear back in my home town, so I ended up winching those bream in with a heavy bass rod. Not ideal, but they put up enough of a fight to still really enjoy it!Forgot my stringer!My sister with the catch
She was nowhere to be found when the cleaning started! Threw these on the grill with some butter, olive oil and cajun spices. Delicious!
