    >> the wife and daughter insist on casting thats the problem "hey pop my reel is messed up"<Picture> thats what i hear when they have a world record backlash.<Picture> then they take my pole. But even with all <<<

Make them practice with a plug like my dad did.

And here's a question for you guys, why is it that so many men refer to their spouses as "the wife" as in "the dog, the car, the boat..." I've never heard a woman refer to her husband like that. Doug ever calls me "the wife", he'll get smacked upside the head with a dead fish. - Roberta

I usually take the fish off the hook for my little ones for safety reasons. But for the wife ( politically correct correction - MY LIFEMATE) I take the fish off sometimes just to be " Gallant " :D

My boyfriend always gets me bee moth (also heard them called bee larvae). They are small, easy to handle, they are dry and not slimey, and don't stink. Very easy to put on a hook! Might give those a try

Would usually bait each of my daughter's hooks and take the fish off, but have not done so for a while now....with one 3000 miles away and the other about 500. Wish they were here so we could go fishing again. One reminded me a few weeks ago that she caught the 2 1/4 pound crappies, not me. Guess my mind is going too :D . Take them fishing now guys....rain or shine...if even only for an hour...

CASTOFF, You are right. They grow up very fast. I have three girls and I think it's a small price to pay for the time spent together.
