I was born and rasied in n.c.,and before i moved to tx.i lived close to asheboro and then down in clinton. We used to fish black river,n.e. cape fear, six runs and lots of farm ponds. We use to go to the bait shops and dig though every cane pole there to find the perfect "BUG POLE".I'd tie on 12 or 14 lb. test line about 2 ft. longer than the pole an a glow worm white popping bug. We'ed fish out of either 8 ft.one man boat or 12 ft. two man boats made out of plywood.Man we caught tons of blue gills, redbreast, bass, open mouths and almost any other kind of fish you can think of.Just wondering if any one still fished this way?
