Gulp Minnows are alright for crappie, I do agree that they aren't really a still bait. But we've found that they really excel for wallys. I used to like the packs better, but the new ones we bought this year don't hardly have any juice in the pack. And that really does upset me, they're to expensive to just let dry out. Be careful opening the packs also, kinda seems like a scam to me anymore. But they do work, very well sometimes.

Here is my typical rig for crappie with the Gulp Alive Fish Fry. I either use the chartreuse, like in the picture, or the black.

It is not about the equipment you have to use,
It is about how you use the equipment you have. :D

I got some 1 inch gulp minnows in watermelon pearl color and I have tried them once and I got some small perch. I think they would work really good for bluegill or sunfish.
