Better get them while you can.9 1/2 inch is a beauty.
I had not been able to use the crickets and they had died but I decided to try them anyway. My 1st fish was 9 1/2" and caught about a dozen more but nothing quite as large but still nice being out.
Also went to BPS and let the guy talk be into buying the Berkley Gulp Crickets. I think Santa is going to give them to me, I'll act surprised. Has anyone used these and what did you think. They guy also said to try the Gulp maggots(beemoth/waxworms) but I didn't buy any of them.
Hope everyone else is still catching them. Here in North Central Indiana there probably aren't too many more weeks of reasonable weather.

I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me,,
This past fall in N/WI I fished a lake 30 mins from my house and caught more 10 inchers than I ever caught in my life, we are starting to get skim ice now so I imagine in a cpl of weeks the lakes will be "hard"?
Thanks guys. I am fortunate to live on a pond that gets virtually no pressure and there are lots of fish that size. Also, thanks for the tip about the gulp maggots.
We have never kept any to eat. Dad told me that would be like eating your own dog...lol.
Sounds like there are some awfully good places to catch them!!
Are there any good bluegill sites you guys/gals frequent? Example I am wanting to buy some #6 bronze aberdeen hooks for bluegills by Gamakatsu but the only place I can find them is on the Gamakatsu site?
down in florida we use earth or red worms and everytime we go out we catch bluegills, shllcrackers, breams all over 10 and weighing anywhere from 1 to 2 pounds sometimes you can by these worms from bass proshop if yall cant grow them
