    Default Caught a surprise yesterday...

I caught this pickerel yesterday while I was fishing for panfish. I was using an ultra-lite shakespeare combo with 4lb mono and 4lb flouro leader fishing a silver Trout Magnet. One heck of a fight. I didn't weigh or measure it but took a picture next to my rod for reference. Easily over 5lb. It's the biggest pickerel I've ever seen.

Nice pick!!!!!! Good eating if you know how to clean them right to get the bones out. Blast on light tackle

Nice. What a great looking fish.
It is not about the equipment you have to use,
It is about how you use the equipment you have. :D

Is that a Shakespeare microcast? Man I love mine. It's a blast reeling in big fish with.

Nice catch. We used to catch pike and muskies quite often while crappie fishing, especially in the river. Two years ago in the spring i hooked into a small muskie on a red/white T.H.E. Jig.The fish must've inhaled the jig and cut my line.
