Crappiegirl, yes it is! When i get back from deployement maybe you can meet me in my honey hole and help me get another limit.......I will be getting back in May/June so they will already be bedding by then, they bed all the way through August where I go and 2 or 3 days before or after a full moon is FIRE! it doesnt get any better. I took my dad and his 2 best friends last year and we caught over 500 in a two day period, they were all between 8-10". They all agreed it was the best bream fishing any of them have ever been around in their 50+ years of age........We only kept the limit of course.

those are some nice crackers you have posted. I've caught some during the spawn but never that many that size. I've also been trying for them this winter a few times because I heard you can load up on them in the winter time but I haven't caught the first one yet.

Actually most of those were Coppernose bluegill, I know its kinda hard to tell in pictures, there were a few crackers thrown in there. I was just using it to justify bottom fishing without a cork is productive. But a float is also good to use. I AM NOT against floats, lol. I dont want to get anything else started.

Love all the tips on quills and thills, they are great but very costly. We use small styrofoam "cigar" floats in the ponds we fish using a single crimp sinker to make the float stand up 1/2-3/4 exposed. They run about +/- .50 each opposed to the quills & Thills going for +/-$1.50>$2.89 each @ local Bass Pro Shop. When a 1.5# Bream or a 2# Shell Cracker?Red Ear hits your cricket where I get to fish, quill/thill subtle isn't an option. One 2.4# Shell Cracker that broke a $100 UL Rod my wife was using we caught later in te day with the hook and rod section still on due to the cork proved the cheap corks work. That was a great experience-used it to buy several more good UL rigs!
