Mr. Crappie line works fine for me and it seems to be at least 33% stronger than the advertised test.
i have always used trilene xl, but i need to replace it quite often. what kinds of line do you guys use on your lighter action spinning rods?

I won't say I've used every line under the sun but I have used a good number of them. As long as it comes from one of the reputable line companies I buy whatever is the best value. I was addressing this topic on another forum recently when the topic came up concerning line choices and how frequently to change it. I said that I have never lost a fish when it was the line's fault. As long as you keep mono protected from UV before and while it is on the reel I think any line is good line.

i aiways used the various trilene lines too, but i just loaded 2 reels with suffix elite hi-vis. we'll see.
If you don't mind a Spectra line I would sugest Fins Wind Tamer braid, I use it on all my reels and it is fantastic. I fish professional salt water redfish tournaments, it is very abrasion resistant and fray resistant, thats my 2 cents worth. Jdub
Vicious high vis panfish line is the ticket .......... great sight ability and good stability and reel memory.... been using it a couple of years and really satisfied. That and stren are in my opinion are the only choice forr me

nowadays i use power pro 10 pound braid.if i get hung up in a tree, all i have to to is yank hard and the tree branch is torn off and just hafta reel it in and remove the branch from the hook :D sometime i wanna try 8 and 5 pound power pro braid tho.see how those hold up.
What about line color , does it make a diff. ? To the Crappie that is .
