    Default grand lake

I fished this weekend and didn't do any good. I was wondering if anyone else has been doing any good up here. The lake is up a lot and is muddy but I was hoping someone might be catching some.

Why keep asking you already know to go south for crappie!!!!!! I can tell you if you can find a man up there named Steven Trease or his brother and make friends they can help you catch some they are as good as it gets up there for crappie I think they are from Fairland not sure and I am not joking

Thanks for the info George. I keep asking cause I hardly ever see anyone post on fishing at grand lake. Just thought I might be able to get some people to start posting on grand.

I have my own dock on Grand. I fished Sat and Sun off and on. I have never been skunked in the last four years.....but by golly I can't say that after this last weekend.....not ONE fish......

I would love to see more activity about Grand on the forum.....but during the times I have been reading and the few posts I've made......those of us fishing on Grand are somewhat the minority here......even though I usually catch as many and as big of fish as I read about on here from the fishermen that fish other places.....

Hey Okie sorry to here about the weekend, I grew up on Eufaula so not used to getting skunked either, but it happened to me also. I think your down south which was suggested and I fished the honey creek area which was also suggisted along with up the rivers being suggested. Can only fish one area at a time though. Hope to see you posting more and I will do the same. You should e-mail me at [email protected] when you are up and maybe we can hook up and fish.

    Default Grand Opinion!!

Here is my 2 cents, No doubt grand will test your patience and skills fishing for Crappie. But I think the same way Huckabee does. I would not fish a brushpile on that lake for this reason. If I were a crappie why in the hell would I won't to be in the same brushpile as a 10lb BASS. I think if he wanted to he could eat my little tail. I think grand lake is a feast or famine lake you either catch a few little ones one day and the next you catch a nice stringer of big fish. If I had a full 2-3 days I would fish as many places as I could 30-40 spots a day!!! Sometimes as anglers we get caught up on were we think those fish shoud be instead of stepping out the box and really getting out and hunting them. A brushpile is not the only structure for crappie it is just the most convenient and easiest to fish. Remember the channel bends, breaklines, cement, ledges, pilings etc. The best fish locator is between your ears and if you catch a buch clean them and see what is in the bellies. I mean what do you have to lose you may come on to a brand new way to catch crappie in the DESERT called Grand Lake!!!!
