Default Grand Lake of the Cherokee White Bass

Not from the area, looking to plan a trip with grandson. Can anyone give me some dates as to when the white bass run at the upper end of the lake will be occurring? Probably around the twin bridges area? Looking to get the grandson (11) on some fish.

    Thank You
    Art

I have not fished that area in several years but I grew up in that area and fished it alot. I have not recently heard any water temps for that area or any reports yet but it seems like towards the end of this month it should be getting pretty good. I always liked the spring river side for white bass myself because the neosho side will be full of spoonbill fisherman at about the same time (no spoonbilling allowed on the spring river side north of highway 60 bridge). Most times I would troll up the spring river side using sassy shads or rooster tails. If you find a good school of them stacked in a hole you can cast to them and slowly retrieve and should be able to do pretty good. Sorry I can't help you with an exact time frame. You might check the ODWC website they have a fishing report area and grand lake sometimes tells how the white bass fishing is. If there's anything else I might be able to help with please PM me and I will do what I can.

I can’t help with Grand but Fisherman are starting to troll the upper end of Tenkiller lake so the sandies must be starting to stage getting ready. Couple weeks of decent weather and some new current they should be moving into the river.
