I think I'm going to head down and de-winterize the RV on Monday.

I've been ice fishing in KS with this past cold front. It's been about 3 weeks since my boat has been on the water. Ill be out soon. Last year around this time I found really nice fish towards the south end of the lake in 60 fow. Hopefully the pattern is the same. Ill keep you guys updated

What was your setup for targeting in 60 ft? Deepest I’ve tried was about 40/45.....used a drop shot style setup, maybe 1/4 or 3/8 oz casting/dipsey style sinker with 1/0 owner drop shot hook about 2 ft or so above sinker.....lip hooked minnows and small plastics.....on 8 lb fluorocarbon

I dont catch to many this time of the year. If catch 7-10 a trip thats a really good day for me. Most of the ones I do catch around this time are 1.5-2lbs though. Early season like this I spider rig multiple rods around with a 2oz sinker and 2 way jig until I see a decent size school. Then ill use the livescope and try to catch them that way. It just varies on the day. I dont discriminate on any method of fishing, Im new to the lake, just trying to figure things out still

I'll most likely fish for something else till they move more shallow. I release a lot of my fish and feel it's a death sentence for a 8 or 9 inch crappie bringing it up from way down there. If 10killer didn't have a 10" minimum I could just keep and eat a dink. Luckily other species are sometimes in the upper 20 feet even in the dead of winter. Be good to be back on the lake, tho'.
