Went to check on the lake today. Fiahed the north end.. WT 63-64, murky but not muddy anymore. Still high but better. Fishing should improve in a couple weeks when water clarity comes back. Fishing was slow, got 1 crappie 1 wb and a few other bites. Crappie looked spawned out with tuxedo fading... Saw 3 other boats. Gl if you guys head out n report back. Thanks

I was out on Thursday with no luck. Tried again on Saturday and it was a little better. 1 crappie and handful of WB. WT 65-70. Water color and pool capacity was slowly returning back to normal. Was a good site to land a few cause the previous 2 weeks have been super tough! Was starting to go a little crazy

The wife and I fished the OCAC / Crappie Masters in Saturday. We found the bite to be very tough. We found plenty of nice fish but no matter what we did it was so difficult to get them to bite. Still enjoyed the day and managed 7th and 5th respectively.

Went out yesterday evening for a few hours. Crappie bite is slow. Managed to boat a few in deep water. One of which had eggs still spilling out. The wb bite was hot. Boil season started, lasted 2hrs on top. Counted 71 on the dial. I let off a bit too. Definitely got my fixing

Took my kids out for a few hours last night. I didn't fish much. Just played the role of unhooking fish and made sure no one got hooked. They caught 1 crappie 1 walleye and lost count of the whitebass. They're definitely still boiling, it's a good time to take the kids out. Probably going to soak some of those foam sticks soon and see what kind of surprises we can pull up.

##10Killer thanked you for this post
Water has risen a bit the last week. About 1-2ft per day. It's probably 6ft above normal pool. WT mid 70s. WB bite is still good. Boils seemed to be reduced with the higher water levels but the bite continues to be good. Crappie is slow.
Well, I'm back. I was out of the loop since early March due to a family medical event that has resolved itself in a good way.
Bea and I were down at Petit for a couple days cleaning the rv, mowing and spraying. Even got on the water for a couple hours yesterday. Came back to the city this afternoon for church and a dinner engagement tomorrow. Heading back Monday morning for a few days. I'll spend about half my time there this summer. Gotta come back here for mowing and honey-dos.
Looking forward to hearing good reports.

I was on the water yesterday.
Crappie were scattered to say the least.
Hopefully lake doesn’t come up much more.
As it will get harder to launch.
