I wish I was on vacation!
Home lake is 28 feet high.
Haying is trickier than normal with all the rain.

I've been hitting ponds. No lakes or river yet with the high water. On here I'm basically asking questions and inputting what little knowledge I do have to keep my fishing addiction at bay!!

I've been using the high water time to do the honey does around the house so if the water ever straightens out I'll be able to go!

Not been a good year for me have only had the boat out twice this year. Not just one but three different Doctors. That is what 86 birthdays can do to you.
How is Eufaula? Wanting to put in at Oak Ridge Rec. Area as need courtesy dock to get in boat and fish the bridges in the shade this summer. Anyone have advise on Eufaula bridge fishing?
Re the above pics: We are about to head up to Bigsky country, where there are lots of trout and the temperatures are 20 degrees cooler. Except for perch fishing with the grandkids, cats are all I've been catching.

jigging, hit the Gallatin after dark with large streamers. Lots of 4.5-6 pound browns. The big ones only hit after dark. The best nights are when the moon is on the water. If you go over to the Beaverhead, the big ones hit best when there is NOT a moon on the water. If want great scenery and some big cutthroats, either get a guide (horseback) or hike 15 miles to Beehive Lake in the Spanish Peaks (south of Bozeman). Those big cuts love grasshoppers. Might check with locals to see if Beehive is open. One year, it was frozen over until mid-August (9700 feet in a north-facing glacial cirque). Hope this helps you.

We are heading Northwest as well. Be in the RV on the banks of the Conejos River in South Central Colorado for 3 months.
Lots of great fly fishing around that area.
