Did you ever make the trip yet? Did you find the crappie out there?
Thinking about taking the family here during spring break. Any pointers on fort Cobb? Good crappie fishing? Popular spots? tia!

I am glad you made a outing for your trip! I usually fish the marina/dock area and have never done that amazing there. Many people say they have, but I haven't that is my normal winter spot but never have brought home more that 3-5 or so.
I figured Cobb wouldn't have much in the way of structure there, were you fishing the dam area?

Several years ago we had a couple of members that had a lake house there. They had a ranch in the Texas panhandle and spent their spare time at Cobb. They normally did pretty good there and were usually popping photos up on the cdc site. Haven't heard from them in a long time. Southern Woman and Rigrunner(236). It's been 3 yrs since she has been on and almost two for him. They came to a couple of the Oklahoma CDC get-togethers we had back then. Nice folks! We're all getting older, I guess.

Anybody been to Ft. Cobb? Haven’t been able to get out in a few weeks.
Hit Ft. Cobb a few days ago. Got one good crappie and some decent sized sandies. Minnow guys were getting sandies and a few crappie. Bagged it and fished a private pond. Did pretty well there.

Went to Cobb yesterday to fish for blue slimers. Did so-so. After dark, stopped at the marina dock just to see how they were doing. Very slow. Thomas had three, and the other guys had zero or one, but the fish they had were in the 14" range and VERY healthy. Decided it wasn't worth the $5 to fish, so went home.
