    Default Spoons

Here's my take on spoons. Started out with the big ones and my imagination ran away with me. Here are 3 of the 4 types that I make. I also make the center one without the spinner, I just don't happen to have one to show right now. The two willows, I use a lift and drop fishing method. The small ones, I tip with a mini Bobby and jig them like normal. Name: 20190223_091230.jpeg

Yeah. So far I've only used them for crappie,,and done fairly well, but this spring and summer I intend on broadening my horizons with them a little bit. Can't wait till the crappie go shallow though to try the Colorado's under a slip bobber. Oughta be deadly.

Appreciate the compliment. I started about 3 months ago. Been a lot of trial and error but getting better at it.

I use 0 with a #6 hook for the small ones and 1 with a #4 hook for the bigger ones. The Colorado's are 0 with #8 fly hooks. I also found out that to clean off the flux residue, if you soak and slosh with vinegar and then double rinse with hot water it takes 99% of it off.
