Not really. Got it figured out good enough to catch catfish but not gonna work for me on crappie. I will sell it and go back to the Garmins. Thanks for the help. I have nothing against Hummingbirds just more comfortable with Garmin. I will say with the gps pod it has great lake mapping
I know there is a lot of die hard crappie fishermen on this site but catching blues on rod and reel over 30 lbs is fun. Caught close to 100 blues and channel cats up to 36 lbs this week. Keep a few of the smaller fish but take a picture and release the bigger ones. Probably one of the best eating fish there is cleaned right.
The heat is not bothering the catfish. Catching limits about every trip and some nice ones. Most trips are around 5 hrs so getting in before the hot part of the day and all the boat traffic
Nice big cats

Went out this morning to get shad for a catfish trip tomorrow. I wasn't planning on doing any fishing but after throwing my shad net and getting 50 shad and 3 nice bluecat the first throw I decided I was in the right area to fish a little while. I have caught 1 or 2 in my throw net over the years but never 3 nice ones at a time. Fished a couple hours and caught a ton of fish with the big fish around 30 lbs.
Took a good friend and his grandson out this morning and had a pretty good day. Water temp hit 90 deg. Take a lot of water if you plan on going out for any length of time. It gets hot quick.
Got into some big blues yesterday. This fish is almost 40 inches. Caught 4 over 30 inches. We will be going back after crappie soon.
