I know a lot of people that went out and bought 1000.00 generators before this storm. That's a bunch of Crappie Jigs. Have to say I'm not disappointed we didn't get it. A lot of ice on trees around here but as Dennis said, roads are just wet.

I just want to know where this breed of meteorologists were back when I was young and in school? Had to snow like a foot before they closed schools back then.

Buffalo, Ok didn't fair so well. They got hammered out west. 1 or 2 more deg colder and it would have been a disaster here.

Yeah, the weather guru's blew it this time. I am one of those guys who decides whether we are go no go at a school. I was pulling my hair out at 4am trying to make good decisions so kids were not standing in the freezing rain, sleet or snow, for a bus that was delayed due to bad roads. From their forecasts we were going to have a horrible mess. As I drove mostly dry roads at well above the freezing, I finally decided I am not cancelling due to rain. I might send em home early, but I think we can get them there. I do not fault, or blame all those who pulled the trigger. I know it was a difficult forecast, as hard to predict as what crappie will bite. But dadgummit snooty weather gals and guys, let us know you have little certainty in your forecast. That we have XX% of the bottom falling out, and maybe XX% of it not. Many of us need good data to know how many employees to hold in reserve for sand trucks, for utility crews, for schools, for emergency services. OK I AM done ranting... On to important stuff... where are the fish biting, and what are they biting on!

I told that one to my grand kids a few years back. They were really impressed.....until one of them got a quizzical look on her face and said: "Grandpa, how could it be uphill both ways?"

lkillebrew, they were biting at Cobb tonight. The fishing was best during the thunderstorm, as the whole dock was rocking and rolling, and the boats in the stalls were doing the hula. One newbie Asian guy asked me if it was safe to be out there during the storm. I told him "Probably not, but when the fishing is good......"
