I wanted to congratulate and thank all the people who qualified for the Classic. Thank you to Robert (WSD) for setting up the check in and weigh in site. Special Thank you to the FISHERMAN'S NET for the buffett breakfast and buffett dinner. Thank you to Josh for putting me up Thursday night in his cabin and Robert & Stephanie for letting me stay the night Friday night.
Thanks for the tip from Fishers and Robert that the pattern was stumps off the channel. I spent the majority of Thursday and Friday scanning. I marked over 300 stumps and did very little fishing. Brian and I caught all of our fish on those stumps with the best depth being 10 fow. We also double dipped jigs. I used 2 rods rigged with 1/8 oz Timmy Tom weed less jig heads and Mikes Custom baits in silver/pearl and gold/pearl. Brian used 2 rods rigged with Redneck Rubber jig heads 1/4 oz on bottom and 1/8 oz on top. He used Redneck Rubber gold/pearl and a wasshoppa in pumpkin/pearl. We only caught 15-20 fish but 10 of them weighed over 1.5 lbs, we actually culled 2 fish over 1.5 lbs. This is a very good lake and I sure am glad Robert introduced it to several of us.
I truly enjoy the friendships I have made through Crappie.com. Hope to see several of you on the water soon.

Thanks starfish for donating the rods. The bite was weird for me as the fish I caught didn't hammer the jigs as I would have hoped in fact during pre fishing I thought I was hung until my rod tip started to move. One thing I can testify though is that with the pulling rod pulling that crappie out of the brush pile was not a problem. Thanks again to Ken for having these awesome rods. It was also nice to finally put faces to user names. D-street,starfish,dr nip,cpd 21...for helping me with my "skilled" parking job in Gaines creek,wsd ,deer hunter odie among sooo many faces that I came across thus season. I hope we will see each other fishing this winter. I am ready to catch them from the docks!

Got my new huckabee pro series rod today! Talk about prompt service. Spoke with ken Wednesday afternoon received product Friday afternoon. Great customer service. Thanks Ken. Looking forward to catching crappie this winter with this rod.
