Default Looking for tips for Ft. Gibson lake

    Hi all!

Of late I have been trying to step up my crappie skills. My home lake is Ft. Gibson but I'm on the side south side over by wild wood and east of Sequoyah Park, so driving all the way up to the river is a haul so I'm trying to look for good places to scan and fish the lake south of White Horn basically.

Are North bay and long bay worth hitting? Any advice or guidance would be much appreciated.

    Thanks Eli

There are plenty of fish below the bridge sometimes little hard to catch.Believe in your electronics and fish when you see the fish

George is right I was down there last Saturday doing an electronics trip with one of my clients. After we got his units set up we found some fish. Only fished 2 places for just a few minutes and caught 3. Brush in 10ft casting jigs. Good luck! EB

Lol, Eufaula boy did you happen to catch a fish on your first cast on that trip? I think I might have seen you out on the lake on Saturday! The next trip, is going to be on your lake by the way.

Thanks for the help with the electronics, I got it dialed and found some good structure.

I'm betting that underwater hump in the middle of lake south of 51 is holding some fish as it comes up off the river channel.

There's lots of brush in the 14 mile creek arm. Put in the time finding it. Lots of brush on all the main lake banks from the dam to the bridge. It's usually a great summertime bite when the temps get high. For some reason this year it turned off. It should start to pick up later this month. The river bite will be outstanding later as well.......Ranger

When you say 14 mile creek arm are talking about actually getting up in the creek from the main lake? I have picked my way through before when the water is high enough to make it into the creek.

Cool thanks, that is great that area is right where I'm at on the lake. I cannot wait to start scanning it and finding the brush piles. That area around wildwood will come in nice when the wind is coming out of the south it is usually the calm over there.
