My advice is get good side imaging unit and learn it well and find all of Rangers secret piles ! Hehe
Best advice I can give to you Eli or anyone as far as that goes is put structure into the lake. Build piles out of persimmon trees this winter. When the lake is normal put the piles in 16'-25' for winter time bite. Add piles in 8'-14' for summertime and spawning bite. Get your weights right off the banks (rocks) and use copper telephone wire for attaching the rock to the wood. Winter time is better since there isn't leaves on the tree and persimmon trees are everywhere and sparse enough to work with a jig. Beavers will not cut them up for food either. Cedars eat jigs. Put your own in as you will be more successful. Points, secondary points, along channel drop offs, close to big rocks, where you have caught a few before. You build em they will come......Ranger

Ranger that is good advice. I have already started throwing out piles, of course I'm turning my dock into a real honey pot.
