I'm hoping to find some sand bass this year as well. I have a 4 year old that I need to get into some to get her hooked on fishing. She likes fishing already, but I know she will be my fishing buddy for life if I can get her into some cast after cast action! Any tips or areas I could take her anywhere in eastern oklahoma would be much appreciated. I have a boat or I can do bank, either is fine.

Dusty, Spring River is worth a shot north of Twin Bridges. That's up around Wyandotte/Fairland area.

Thank you for the information. I will look into that area. Might have to make a weekend trip with the kids.

Went today for about 30 minutes even though I knew better. We got just under a inch of rain, so I was hoping for the best. Muddy water and the wind didn't play well. A few little one's and a branch was it.

They're starting their run. A buddy sent me a pic of 8-10 bigguns and one medium sized one. Time to make the move.

Is that up north? I'll be at grand lake next week and was thinking of taking some poles to let the kids fish but have never been there before.
