    Default Fort Gibson Lake CDC Tournement


    Saturday, August 29th 2015

    Fort Gibson Lake

    Registration time 5:30 am - 6:30 am

    start fishing at 7:00 am (Be in line for weigh in @ 2:00 pm)

    Registration site: CROOKED HOOK BAIT AN TACKLE
    5 miles east of Wagoner, OK on Hwy 51 on the south side of the road

    free donuts and coffee at registration
    Weigh in will be @ CROOKED HOOK BAIT AND TACKLE (Must be in line by 2:00 pm for weigh in)

    Open Technique ( Lake limits are 10" min. 15 crappie ( 7 biggest to be brought to weigh in )

    C2 and KCMasterpiece are in pending our prefish next week. Our initial attempt was demoralizing and we don't want to Tiger Woods this thing.

    I went down first thing this morning. I started down by the dam, scanned to White Horn, and back down and up through 14 mile creek. I did not fish but maybe 12 piles all day. I was just trying to cover some water. I have only been in the river for the last 2 years. I decided to break out. I found larger concentrations of fish below hwy 51. This will be a tough tourney as the fish have to be 10" and I can not seem to crawl over that! I started the morning in HEAVY rain and cover 45 miles of water!

    Papa and I launched at Rocky Point after the rains passed. We spider rigged with minnows and caught two rock bass, 5-6 catfish and three black crappie that went close to 6". We never really saw much for fish and and did not fish any brush.
