    Default SAND BASS REPORT

I have a 8 year old Great grandson that needs to catch some fish before school starts. Willing to fish Eufaula, Ft Gibson or Oologah lakes. I need a courtesy dock as can no longer get into my boat without one. Thanks for your help.

I40 Rip rap from bank on the NE corner they are in there thick thick. You can catch all you want. Park by the bridge there in the median and walk down there. Throw and 1/8 curly tail or any jig let it sink 4-5 seconds then slowly retrieve. Hope you catch a bunch. EB

Have been trying to take my 8 & 12 year old Great grandson fishing for the past 3 weeks. Thursday plan on putting in at Indian Springs and troll Fife Creek along the breaks along the flats. Later fish the first bridge on hwy 69 on north end of Eufaula. I may get out fished by both Grandsons, is ok with me just hope they catch a lots of fish.

I was out at Kaw this morning. Caught several sand bass, none big.
Trolled cranks along the dam on the way back to the ramp and picked up 2, 12" crappie. Finishing the second crappie fish sandwich as we speak. SAND BASS REPORT

Fished Thursday where planned Before I could get the boat ready the boys had landed 3 black bass 13" to 14" long. They had fun catching black bass and cat fish. Four hours later both were fishing strong but not the first Crappie or sand bass???? Clear blue sky and light east wind may have had something to do with it.

My Grandson and Great son fished Oologah Saturday after the rain with good luck on sand bass off points and rocky shore line. The cool wind made for a great cool day on the water. Made my 8 year old Great Grandsons day as he out fished his Dad and Grandpa. He fished hard the whole time catching the first and last fish of the day. Fish were 9" to 13", could have been fatter. Best lure was blue/silver and silver little gorge.

Glad you guys had some luck!

I on the other hand only managed 1 sandie and 2 small cats. I am still learning I guess.
