If you want flooded timber go to Black Dog. We have limited on Bass in a Tourney there and caught a couple of nice Crappie on crankbaits while bass fishing.
I personally know a Cat man who catches big fish in there. I don't know how. Go check it out.

    CG,

You going to the pond or AH? Have you heard how much water it's caught in all this mess? I hope a lot! Want the ramp opened back up.

PJ101 - YOU ARE ALIVE!!!!!!! I am headed to a 2.50 acre pond to see what is hitting red wigglers on Sunday. American Horse has risen approx. 6 inches I have been told. The bass, crappie and who knows what else are getting pounded . I am ordering some crickets on Monday to start my own assault on a couple of ponds. Send me a pm with your cell#.

Going to Lake Skiatook this Friday-Sunday and hope we can find a place to pitch a tent. The on-line reservation website show that both campgrounds are full for Friday and Saturday nights. Stoney Ridge Campgrounds may have a spot for us. Any information on fishing conditions? Anyone else going?

If you go to Skiatook Lake this weekend I would plan on a long wait to launch your boat. Besides all the campers, just as many recreational boats come to ski, jet ski, swim and party for the day. Next, add in all the bass tournaments that start launching really early. And consider all the boats that will be on the lake from the 2 Marinas there.

If you are familiar with activity on Grand, it's 46,500 acres. Skiatook is 10,500 acres and will have just about as much activity, especially this weekend. It will resemble the 4th of July. I lived in Bartlesville most of my life, my Mom had a boat slip at Crystal Bay (private launch) from 2004-2012. I wouldn't go there this weekend if I were paid.

If you do go, please report back on how close my predictions turn out. And best of luck. When we try to Crappie fish over about 10' deep we catch some good Hybrids. And get lines broken.
