    Default New Bait Cooler

At the Keystone Tourney this last weekend I brought my new Bait Cooler made by Engel. It seemed as if there was a lot of interest from people in who made it, how much, different sizes and so on. I wanted to toss the website at you guys so you can look at them. As with a lot of you, I have owned several different bait tanks for minnows and this one by far is the most sturdy and solid bait tank I have seen. They come in 3 different sizes, I own the 19qt and it is plenty big for me. if you get a chance, take a look at them. They are even the official cooler supplier for the Crappie masters Tournament trail. I will have mine at Kaw Lake if anyone is interested in putting their hands on one before buying. https://www.engel-usa.com/products/live-bait-coolers

It is good looking cooler, but a little too pricey for my current level of prosperity! But I do have a birthday coming up soon! Hmmmm........................

I got a new frabile last year and I am going to get a new engle this year, and the reason is the aerator. Mine is batteries only and the Engle is also 12 volt off the boat. I figure I go through a set of batteries every weekend 3 dollars and if they go dead at night and I lose 5 dollars worth of minnows it will pay for its self in no time. Plus right now its a gallon of gas round trip to get minnows twice a weekend. So when you start adding things up it doesn't take long to pay for one.

Wish I could find a 48 quart that would seal as good as the Engel does, got the aereation thing figured out just need a cooler that will seal and not leak or splash over.

Save your money, get a 12v to 110 converter and a 110 aquarium pump, mine runs forever with virtually no battery drain.

I know what your sayin Rees. I have the same problem with mine now. I have to move it to the back of the boat everytime we move or we get soaked from water coming out of bucket. I figure by the time I buy everything piece by piece wont be much difference in final price.

Engel makes a great product, the bait cooler shines when the temperatures gets up. Plug the areator in and the bait will last all day with no water changes. I've kept minnows for days without changing the water, well worth the money.
