Dock Shootin for Crappie!!!!
Reply With QuoteHey man, we fish docks and yes it works. Any lake that has docks will hold crappie. Now not all the docks will have crappie under them but trust me you fish them and you will run across a few. To dock shoot you need a 4-6 ft. Medium action rod. 4 or 6 pound Hi-Vis line and normally some type of action bait (curly tail or a slider grub). Try to get that bait as far under the dock as you can and try different speeds. Some times those crappie are going to be 1 ft. under the water, in the middle or on the bottom. Dock shooting can be done year round especially if your lake has docks in 8-15 ft. of water or docks close to the river or creek channel. I hope this helped.
