I'm sure they don't go back to those spots... U don't think they would do you? Lol
Thanks for all the new traffic and comic relief you are bringing to the lake. It is funny yet sad to watch the "guide train" of boats going from one spot to another you guys have taking them to.

Grover,
I wasn't going to reply to this thread due to I didn't want to start anything and I respect everyone else's opinion's. But after recieving several phone calls I thought it might be the right thing to do. I have gotten several suggestions but decided on this. After this thread had been hit for 150 views I finally thought I would say something and stoop alittle lower and voice my opinion. For the record I have only had 4 trips on the upper end of Gibson this year and of those 4 only 1 of those trips were with clients that had a boat or were from in state. So with that said now you know. Another thought for you Grover when you say "guides" that includes us all and if you have a beef with 1 or 2 of us then post your beef towards them and not all. I can't prevent fisherman and women from following my boat and looking at and gettin a line on my marker bouys and there has been plenty of that as you well know first hand. And I can't prevent them from having side imaging locators that can pick a needle out of a haystack either. And if this isn't true I am going to say I'm very sorry and will retract it here and now, but isn't it true that you and a buddy took a guided trip on south eufaula and after a days fishing and catching you beat the guide that took you the very next day to his spots. "Just Sayin".
But there is one thing I can prevent and you can take this to the bank I will not post on the Ft Gibson Thread any pictures, where, what I caught them on, depth, and so on if this will make a few happy. The last time I checked these waters were open to all fisherman and I respect that. Given the warm weather and the time of the year yes you will see more and more boats on the water trying to get the last trip in before it gets cold. I have put my time in on this lake like the others I fish as well and have logged hours looking, marking, fishing, eliminating water to be successful so I have nothing to apologize for except for posting just how successful I have been. I hope all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Family and Friends and God Bless you all......Ranger

I personally think the one thing about CDC that I personally enjoy, is everyone is willing to give information to help each other out!! I have always appreciated your posts Ranger!! It's not like your posts have enabled me to catch my limit everytime I go out. I personally think it is public water, post what you want.

Ranger - There are always a few bad eggs in the barrel. I have never fished with you but I appreciated the info that you offered me on Tenkiller earlier in the year. I have been thinking about wanting to fish Ft. Gibson some and was thinking of having you guide me. I respect the time and effort that you have put in learning the respective lakes that you ply your trade on. I agree with Redge. Bless you for your willingness to constantly trying to help others.
Tis a touchy subject for sure. It's easy to be hypocritical without realizing you're doing it. Crappie.com has become fairly popular as a read for a lot of State Crappie Fishermen and women. Years ago folks would flock to areas that the local fish and game report said was hot. I personally love the Talala Creek area of Oologah and would hate to see it invaded with guides and others but it can and does happen, then things settle down. Talala Creek itself has been way lower production wise than normal. The last time I had any amount of luck was a Saturday Dinobot made the trip over to join me. I was pleasently surprised as he went home with a number of decent fish. He was back on the exact spot his next trip out. It's only normal to hit the area you last caught them. It happens to guides and individuals. I've now showed Dinobot two of my favorite spots in the Talala Creek area. One of which is a spawn spot.
I do not have a problem with someone sitting on a spot that I turned them on to, as long as they don't have a problem with me moving right in and tying up to their boat and sharing. It's not much different than being in one boat and letting the BS fly while the rods are bending.
Grover, things will settle with your areas you frequent. All these folks come and go. A lot of people try many lakes and areas. A lot rarely get out anywhere other than familiar waters (I'm in this gang). Regardless of what's going down, we all love the same thing. It's all good and everything will be just fine.
Good luck to Grover and Mark in whatever adventures they take on.
Reaper, Where Fish come to Fry
I see no problem with the guides fishing up river, all of the guides I've seen up there have been very courteous and there is plenty of crappie in Ft Gibson lake. I have been up there around a dozen times in the last three weeks and sometimes it's crowded but your still fishing, and not working, so its a good day.
Ranger, don't let one persons selfishness ruin your great attitude. I am very grateful for the info you have shared. You have helped me and many others get on the fish. I think you have had a perfectly balanced approach at sharing what techniques worked and where it worked without being too specific as to exactly which spots. I encourage you to not change a thing about your postings. I also would like to take the opportunity to thank you and all the others who share good information on this site. You have made my time on the water more enjoyable. Thanks for helping me get the most out of my fishing time, Chris.

it is very hard to try to keep your best fishing holes hidden from other fishermen now a days. i have found it better not to even try.the new fish finders out their now their are no secrets. also i like telling my fishing buddies where i catch them, what i am using. anythng that will help them get dinner.I have notice that it goes both ways. that is what i like about this site. it makes me feel like i have a lot more fishing buddies out there trying to help each other out.
