Just kidding guys...
Things got a lil out of hand last night and I don't think either of us meant it to go there. I'd love for you and your son to join me someday if you want to make that drive from Gore, I'll take you two out. I do have one rule though and that's whoever goes with me has to keep the fish. Ask Dinobot how that worked out for him. Ha! I'm not even close to finished dropping brush in the Talala Creek area, but what all of us did on Saturday made a big difference and a fast one. I had even deleted every waypoint I had on my HDS 8 so that when Kevin marked the pile he dropped from my boat, I'd be showing only the new drops. I'm already familiar with the usual spots anyway and a lot of what I had marked had disappeared from the rise and fall of the lake. Dinobot has filled this Saturdays spot and I look forward to spending some time on the water with him. Latest report from the area is a bunch of dinks hitting hard, but very few 10" or better fish. We'll see if it's changed this Saturday.

I'd like to add that it is common courtesy in the Oklahoma forums that no one asks for coordinates. You can look through all the posts in here and I would bet money you won't find an instance of someone asking for exact locations of other's fishing spots. That's not to say that we don't share fishing spots, it's just more commonly done offline between guys who have developed a mutual trust and respect by fishing together or conversing with one another about fishing at a minimum. Perhaps you will find that route to be more fruitful. There are guys in these forums I would gladly share all my spots with but I would never post them here in this forum for all to see and they would never ask me to do so. They're MY spots unless you come across them yourself on the lake.
For someone who's been lurking as a member since 2004 but only posted a handful of times that's pretty forward of you.

When the oologah thread was closed I went to the ok forum and found this thread. Read most of it feeling bad that I am only now learning about this monumental group effort to place structure in the Talala Creek area, my favorite winter hangout because I can get out of the wind occasionally. As someone who will have to do a blind search for those new piles let me chime in by thanking all the guys who participated. I absolutely do not feel that you should post those coordinates. Sorry, I just don't subscribe to the socialist notion that wealth(or brush piles) should be shared with those who made no effort to create it. I am a new owner of an old boat and have marveled at how free with crappie tips and locations the members of the oologah crappie community have been. I spent last winter learning to fish vertical from scratch and really appreciate those who responded to my questions. Thanks in part to your help one day maybe I can post some positive reports and give back a little. Now that I know about this thread I will follow it. If phase two of improving Talala comes up I will try to join you. B.A. is only an hour away and I can add a trailer and chain saw etc. P.S. Does anyone know what happened to the oologah thread? I have to admit I am as new to using a computer as I am to fishing from a boat.

might be a stupid question where we post oologah reports at Does someone need to make a new thread in that folder or is this the new one?

On the main page of the oklahoma forums at the top of the list there are a couple new sub forums one is Eufuala and one is Oologah the old reports threads for those 2 lakes are in those new sub forums under their respective lake names. Or just click here http://www.crappie.com/crappie/oolog...ah-report.html

Ciller, there are MANY forums here on Crappie.com. Just click any of the "Forum" words at the top of this page and it should take you to the main menu. Thanks for the kind words. I'll help however I can, but I am far from being as good a Crappie fisherman as I aspire to be.
On another note, I admit when I am wrong and I was wrong about something. Doc Holiday didn't say that to Johnny Ringo. He said it to Ike Clanton.
