Guess I need to put my order in for one of the minnow traps, it looks great and the ol crappie is a beauty. Glad you guys are having fun while here in Oklahoma.:D
Rigrunner caught a real nice 14 1/2 inch crappie in Fort Cobb lake and I think it was quite a beauty...it was great eating and almost a meal in it's self. He also amazed me with his talent for building a minnow trap...have not launched it yet but will on Monday. Now if I can just think of something I need building with wire....

Thanks for all the comments. I'm hoping to catch perch for our catfish jugs. If it'll will hold minnows I'll use them for crappie. I used the 1/2 inch mesh, more for perch, and bullheads.

CJ, would like to meet you, we left Ft Cobb today for Tx for a few days. Maybe next time. Owen is a nice gentleman!! I'm sure you will have a great time. Good luck!!!
RR - Try garlic weiners on your jug lines. Cut the weinnies into approx 1" pieces and dust with garlic powder or garlic salt then nuke for 1 minute, then repeat for another minute and your done. They work as good as fresh shad but easier to acquire.
Thanks for the info, CG, I will try that next trip to Cobb (next week).
