Say Rednchartruse, how did you fair at gentry?
Hey guys, big george is right about the water temp falling considerably. But is is slowly rising again into the mid 50's. I fished all day sunday and caught 2 crappie and one fish was 14ft in 45ft of water so you can tell they were tuff. Abosutely no one had a god day sunday. But with hish prssure hanging aroung and 30mph wind gust this is to be expected. By the way the winners of the crappie usa tournment (am. div.) caught there fish 10-12ft in 12-20ft of water on yum beavertails tipped with minnows and the big fish was on live thredfin shad 18 ft. So the hawgs are still fairly deep. Good luck fishing guys!!!!
I agree it was tough this weekend. Camped out there Friday and Saturday. Caught 4 Friday afternoon, 2 nice ones and just under 20 fishing all day on Saturday. Did not catch a fish in less than 20' of water. I will say that I expect good things this week as they were stacked up thick in the channells so when the temp goes up they should really get after it.
Took the boat out to check out a new Lowrance up front. Didn't fish as I was in a hurry. The temps varied from 52 to 57 degrees in the Number 9 north area.
