Fishing electronics and trolling motors - Crappie.com
Does anyone have one of these or have any experience with one. Thinking about getting one and wanted to get some info other than the reviews on Cabelas & Bass Pro.
Thanks

Hey, tell me a story!

I had one on my power drive model for a while. Its something you will love or hate. With a electric steer trolling motor there is a slight delay and when you have the wireless unit the delay is just a little more noticeable. You'll need to keep an extra set of double a batterys in your boat or atleast store your wired pedel in the boat some where.

I've got one on my Lund. I've had it for a couple years and I'm still not sure I like it better than my old Minn Kota. With the slight delay the steering seems more erratic. One thing I really like tho' is the freedom to move around the boat. I used to always fish from the front seat but now fish more from mid-boat.

Thanks for all the input, I ended up buying an Minn Kota Powerdrive V2. I can't wait to try it out.
The power drive is a good unit overall. But when it comes to deploying and stowing it you may have to work at it abit. Im pretty ruff with mine, hadnt broke it yet. Look at the stow mechanism and make sure you understand how it works. You dang sure dont want it to deploy while you are running across the lake at any speed.
