Must have really been TUFF!! some good crappie fishermen in that group to only break 5 lbs.

It was tough!!!!!

We had 10 teams fish our Ft Gibson tournament on Saturday. The fishing was good, catching multiple big fish was tough. I want to thank Carl at Crooked Hook Bait and Tackle for hosting us, it was great hospitality as always. I want to thank our sponsors of the tournament: Ken Roberson of Power Crappie LLC: Home of Todd Huckabee Rods, Redneck Rubber: Home of Beaver Bottom Baits and Crooked Hook Bait and Tackle. Thank you to Brad, Bob, Kevin, and Kirk for checking fish and helping with the weigh-in. These are the only pictures that I had sent to me. If anyone has more, either send them to me or post them on here. We have a few challenges coming up. We will post them ASAP!

Brian and I caught our fish casting and dragging 1/16 oz Timmy Tom weedless jig heads with Franks Custom Baits (milk man) and Bobby Garland minnow minders (monkey milk) over and through wood in 8-12 fow. After we cast and dragged the wood, we got over the top of it and dropped a minnow down using Todd Huckabee dipping sticks. We probably caught 1/2 of them with each technique.

2017 Gaines Creek Challenge

When: Saturday July 29

Where: Hickory Point Boat ramp

Sign up: 6:00-6:30

Tournament hours: 6:30-12:30

Entry Fee: 60$ per boat

Boundaries: From Highway 31 bridge up the creek as far as you want to go. The lake is off limits!

*This will be a ONE BAIT ONE POLE ARTIFICIAL ONLY CHALLENGE!

*We will all launch at Hickory point and leave from there at the same time.

*100% payback! 50$ will go to the Tournament Pot. 10$ Big Fish Pot
