Speaking of trout, fly rod or spinning?

Hi everyone, I'm a fellow crappie fisherman from north louisiana. I'm taking a trip the end of march to the broken bow/mountain fork area and I'm bringing my boat. Me and the lady are going to try to catch some trout, smallies and maybe some walleye. Can any of you guys give me some advice as to what baits or lures to use, what to expect or whatever? Thank yall so much.

The section right below the dam has always been really good for trout. Guessing it’s around 1 mile long.
You do need to check out the regulations, some areas you can only keep a certain size.
Panther martins are my favorite lure. Yellow body with red dots.
Also 1/16 oz black maribou jigs.
Pine creek lake is relatively close and my favorite crappie lake.
