    Default fishing guide

hello I have a 10y/o son that's been interested in fishing but I have no luck at all when were out trying to catch him something to bring home. Im wondering if someone can recommend a fishing guide, just looking to catch some fish to keep him interested before he gets too discouraged about coming home empty handed because I can tell its starting to bother him . Im mainly looking to catch fish that wont snatch a fishing rod out of his hands so probably crappie sandbass or possibly striper or hybrids not really sure because ive never been out anywhere and really been on a guided trip or caught fish consitantly enough to even know what a 10 y/o can handle besides crappie or sunfish . even if someone can recommend a spot where he can catch crappie or sunfish without doing a guided trip that would be helpful

Eagle Creek Guide Service- Michael Thompson . I took my kids out with him sand bass fishing a few times when they were young and we caught a lot of fish every time. SB hit like a freight train and fight all the way to the live well so they are sure fun to catch and Michael is a clean cut good man who won't teach your son any bad habits. Of course there are some great crappie guides around who fit the same criteria. Ranger09 and Eufaula Boy are both excellent. I mention sand bass because I think they were created to hook kids on fishing...... Then you can slowly wean them off the trash fish and introduce them to the one true fish.

Where have you been hiding Steve? Haven't seen you on in awhile. Bring him to Oologah and I'll do what I can at no charge.

I can vouch for this, @Crappie Reaper came over to Skiatook for the Crappie Camp and worked his tail off to get my boy Eli on some fish in some pretty nasty wind. Check the Spring Crappie Camp board for pics of Eli with a few of the Crappie he caught. He is also a pretty good photographer.
