Well, nobody else is allowed to stay more than two weeks in COE rec areas. I don't understand why these folks were allowed to stay for years. Obviously the manager wasn't following rules?

I'm sure it was a long term lease to them but did not following the rules.
Talking of a lease The Oologah Corp of Engineers leased the Red Bud Marine the WATER for I believe 300 Feet around their docks. Just to keep fishermen away sure hope it does not spread to other lakes.
Being COE, I would think that could be challenged
I went to the Oologah Corp of Eng. office and was told that the lease does exist.
Anyone know where or what I could do to stop someone from taken public waters for their private use?
Get the full name of the person(s) claiming public water for private use on a Corp Lake and take the information to the Lake Corp office or Tulsa Corp office . Be sure to have date, time and location of when the claim of private water on a public lake happened. Ask the Oolagah Corp office to deliver a letter stating there is no such lease to that person/business. An Army Corp Lake is Public Property. Only Grand River Dam Authority Properties allow for owners ship into the lake.
Grand Lake gives ownership down to the Normal waters edge. The funny thing is sewer lateral line only have to be 1 foot above the top of their Dam.
I always thought that on Corp of Eng. lakes only the improvements of docks, ramps and such were under control of the permit owner.
