You never know. I work for the USDA and we would always have our physicals in the basement of the federal building around this time. Our secretary forgot to schedule them and had us scheduled for May instead of April, or we could have been there. We working outside behind the dam of Lake Carl Blackwell and heard the explosion. Sad day.
Floyd, I'm way late responding but, wanted to ask if you know Randy Norfleet? He was a Marine recruiter that survived but, lost an eye and was forced to retire from the Marines. I hired him to take my place before I retired and he still has my old position. He has done a number of tv interviews and given many talks on the bombing and was the first witness in McVey's trial.

I did know Randy, but not well. All of the recruiting staffs from the services were in our office frequently. As a supervisor I was usually traveling or busy with other things but my agents knew him well. Of all of them I knew best Karen Gist from the Army battalion. She grew up with some friends children and, at the time of the bombing, was my aerobics instructor at the Y across the street. I remember Randy from the Denver trial. He was one of the first witnesses and I was one of the last.
