The house was originally a 1200 sf cabin in 1969. Then they added a bedroom. Then that huge living area was added. Then they added a huge room upstairs later. Last time it was updated was in the 1980s. The rooms are so huge you can't do anything with them. The master bedroom has 4 ceiling fans, a bath and a half, and a lot of wasted space. It is almost as big as the living room. They should have had an architect draw it out. So by the time we are older and grayer we should have it finished just in time to sell it. The only way we could afford it was our previous home sold for more than double what we had in it. Thank goodness.

It would be a great party house if we had any energy for a party.

Hey Stinkfinger. What do you think? You saw the house before we remodeled.

Before you refinish the floors, try wetting a 4'X4' area with water for 5 minutes then thoroughly shop vac it up with the attachment that is about 10 inches wide and has the rubber seal. If you can get enough suction it may pull the mud out of the gaps.

Dr Nip, Lake Eufaula... nice fishing here... not that I do much fishing anymore. I fished more when I lived two hours away.

Fishers, thank you. It worked really well. I used a steam afterwards and it helped a lot too

Boarbuster, the pics make it look bigger. Not that big.

Even with all of the work you have put into it I think you have palace and a wonderful home. Heck our place is so small you have to go outside to change your mind.
