Are they good motors?
The small Mercs are built by Tohatsu. I had a 2000 model 2 stroke 25 HP Merc on my Tracker and I did not know until later that it was built by Tohatsu, but as it turned out that motor was bullet proof. It ran 14 years without a single problem. I recently traded it to get a larger motor, otherwise it would have been with me to the end I suspect.
As far as I know they build the 4 strokes as well. I think up to 75 hP or so, anything larger is built by Mercury.
