Evinrude called me. They talked to me for about 30 minutes about my dilemma. They are contacting all boat stores involved to try to figure out what is really going on. He stated he will call me back as soon as he sorts through this mess. In the meantime, my wife received a phone call from a boat store in Missouri. I guess they own the boat store in Jenks. The owner stated the motor was ordered TODAY and be here next week!!!! WTF? Same old story I've heard for weeks now. Going to wait for Evinrude to call me back with what they find out.

ah heck, join the crowd! I blew my motor last month. thought, i am not going to fix it, i will buy a new one and be back on the water next week. Well, its not that simple. I bought a Suzuki 250 SS March 31. I was told it will be on and ready to role in a week. 10 days went by before I could even get a vin number before it was shipped. Finally came in last week, but heck, they forgot to put a wiring harness in there. since it did not come in that create, you cant just buy one. They put me on back order. Here i am 4-24 without a motor still. Hydrophobic just like Dr Nip! I will say, the 3 calls a day to customer service has got me more satisfaction than calling my dealer.

I've had nothing but good dealings with Bayer Marine. From trolling motors to outboards to big block maintenance, I sing their praises. They've been around for close to 50 years. You don't get that far down the road by hustling people.

Evinrude has contacted me more today than the Fun Boat Store has in 7 weeks!

Dr. If I was looking for a new motor I would try Nichols marine. Ranger has lots of good things to say about them!! I think they have a place in Norman as well as Tulsa. Just a thought.

That's who had my boat last summer for 7 weeks and although they said it was fixed , it wasn't. And also, to go along with what you are encountering DrNip, they never once called me, I had to call them to get any info on what was going on with my boat. My .02

Why can't you install one over 20?

No, anything over 20 they won't ship to you or at least every where I went. I even tried to get the dealer to just sell the 25 motor to me and I install it and they stated they couldn't do that. 20 and down you can have shipped to your home.
