SmokyOkie, sorry to hear about your lose. It really makes anyone mad who has had anything stolen from them. I remember back in my youth years a friend and I were bowfishing an area. We were using my dads 14' aluminum boat that had a 9 hp motor on it. Well we got to an area that we could not bow fish out of the boat so we pulled it up on the bank. the lake was really high at the time and where were in an area that no one had access to. Well guess what, a car came across an open field and went directly to the boat and stole the motor and gas tank. I was never so mad in my life. Had to face dad about it (which he was good) and plus all my hard earned money for the summer now went to replace the motor and gas tank.

Smoky, you state a $500 reward to whom ever leads to info. What if the person who took it brought them back to you and then asked for the $500. He would still be money ahead. Sorry just trying to enlighten the situation a little.

PS: You are welcome to anything I am not using as well. I would hate for a fellow crappie fisherman go without being able to fish.

You bet, and in a heartbeat. I'd give him $500 no questions asked, and that is prolly more than he can get anywhere else for a bunch of used poles.

Thank you for your offer as well.

I'd go in with you for the $500 if the thief showed up, just to know who the sorry %&*! was! Like has been said, nothing sorrier than a thief.

Thanx Sandwich man Maybe we can go in together and get a few more and post a bounty. Anybody else? Likelihood of finding the culprit is low, but it would be nice to identify the thief. Might be good for more than just me.

Thanx Mark. I think I'll have the rod replaced within a week or so if I can find them.

Anyone else want in on a thief bounty pot? If so, how much are you in for?

Smoky, while on craiglist I noticed this ad selling 11 falcon rods in Tulsa. The information doesn't match up directly but it's close enough that I thought I would pass along the info.

Keep an eye open on Craigslist, contact any local pawn shops and make sure you fill out a police report so that the pawn shops get notified about the theft. Start shopping the pawn shops within a month or two. Most likely, the thief is going to sell them and will leave some sort of trail.
