I'm planning on getting a gun safe for my place this fall. I have no idea what to get though. Any thoughts on that?

I have heard though that the gunsafes are now a big target for the home invasions... its like car-jacking except the house. They actually prefer you be home so they can force you to open the safe. Not that I wouldn't still prefer to have a safe...

I will be getting a handgun of some type in a few weeks and getting the fiancée and myself into a CCW class to learn some basics (mainly for her, I'm pretty comfortable around guns of all types).

    Hey DNC,

This is where I got mine. He's been there for as long as I can remember. Although his website list other brands, I think he only has Fort Knox and Heritage in his showroom.

One of the main reasons I went with a Fort Knox is because of the better fire rating they had over other brands.

aim right between their eyes and squeeze the trigger.the best gun control is to hold it with both hands:D:D

me and the wife took the CCL class at H and H gun range( they also said not to aim at the head if you can help it but at the torso/ chest area) and the wife also took a pirvet class the week before and she learned a lot and we also bought our gun safe at H&H and i HIGHLY recommend a liberty gun safe and buy the biggest you can afford cause when you buy your gun safe you'll regret not buying a bigger one later on trust me on this ive been there and i wish i would have gotten a bigger gun safe cause you'll want to put other things in it also.....
but this is just my own oppion but ive been there and had it happen and its not a good feeling and you'll be glad you bought a big heavy gun safe if and when it does i just hope it never happens to any one
