Shoot I wouldn't be surprised to hear about a fundraiser to help the people in OKC that got wiped out from the flooding. I SURE don't expect to geta check from any organization. If you saw my bridge damage you would gasp and shake your head. Pictures dont even come close to give you an idea of the actual loss.

Cricket George...We know that no one would help us...WE HELP OURSELVES! Never received a penny of any kind of charity ever. When something goes wrong, I don't expect anyone to give me money to fix it...

Well, at first I thought the same thing. Then I saw Obama on TV several times saying he was solely responsible. But all he does is blame others. So I'm confused :rolleyes:

Stink, you are correct on the United Way statement. For too many years, our employers' took it out of our paychecks and it was a large amount. We gave to Salvation Army too. We learned in the 1990's that we were paying for some high priced CEO's high priced vacations and the amount that was kept out of the " pot " was bigger than the amount used for the right reasons. We stopped giving to the UW and only give to the Salvation Army and our church. Charity giving can be a rip off!

I've been wondering the same thing SW! If you take responsibility for something, don't you take responsibility for it?

I thought it was BP's problem all along, but apparently Obama things otherwise. I personally think they should use all that red tape preventing some very good clean up methods from being implemented and use it to soak up the oil!
