Thread: Fishing under or tieing to a bridge

We'll have to see how they choose to enforce it, but, yes, the way the Federal law is written, even those fishing from the banks under the bridges would be in violation. Since the Lake Patrol primarily deal with violations on the water, they may choose to only enforce that part, and have land personnel (OHP, county sheriff) enforce from land. Big waste of time and resources IMO. To me, having people fishing under the bridges would be a major deterrent to terrorism in those locations.

Who would have thought that terrorism even affects fishing.

Since they are calling in HOMEland security doesn't the Make My Day Law come into effect? Why don't they put that under the guidlines and if we see some guy tying up some explosives, we just protect our home and shoot the guy straight in his A$$. Then tie him upside down from the bridge until he bleeds out.

Hmmmmmmmm, hanging him upside down to bleed out, would that be considered chumming?????:rolleyes:

Maybe but it wouldn't work. No fish in these waters would feed on the likes of them.

wow...i can see the concern somewhere else....but have a little discretion on these laws... i can tell you right now....the good ole eufaula boys aren't gonna let some terrorist blow up one of our favorite fishing spots!!!....but on the other hand...never thought one of our own would blow up a building in OKC either...hhhhmmmm...not sure what to think about this one?

fishing under bridges is like docks you cant tie up to peoples docks so you cant tie up under bridges

those guys fishing from the bank aren't tied to anything....and they are going to take their favorite fishing spots from them too....I actually don't fish under bridges much...but I know others have been doing it for years...
