looking for used pontoon boat- advice needed

Help me out gang! I have heard that Mercury motors are hard to work on. I've heard that Evinrude & Johnson are reliable and made by same company. Anyone know about Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, etc.? I do not want a motor that uses a LOT of gas or that is hard to work on.

Still trying to decide whether to get a 20' or 24'. I know the longer the better in rough water on Eufaula. I only want a fishing pontoon. No bench seats in the back. I think I should get a fairly newer model....around 1999 or so.

Any thoughts? School is out! I am ready to go fishing.

The folks at "150 Boat Sales" are fair and honest. They mostly deal in Honda motors, so they will slant towards them, but a Honda is an extremely good motor, I love them. They sell the Voyager Pontoon Boats and have a good selection;

They usually have some used pontoon boats and sometimes they sell boats for other people too. Might give them a try.

They didn't have any I could afford. We sold the pontoon that came with our house and our Pro Crappie 175 so now we can reinvest in a newer pontoon.
