Stink, It really is a beautiful cabin and you did a terrific job. I am sure you are proud of what you accomplished for I know I would be. It was so interesting to see your progress over a long period of time. I am really impressed by your knowledge in building this lovely home for yourself. Congratulations fellow.

Cabin looks great, now you can concentrate on more important things like Crappie fishing.

It's bad i was raised there and couldn't remember how to spell it. The people that started the store were german imagrants. Him and his sister both opened stores there. My mom worked for his sister when i was little. Man i'm jealous of that cabin the only thing its in the wrong part of the country it needs to be at the foot of the kiamichi mountains. ( hehe) i love it stink kick back and enjoy the quiet life you deserve it.

During my build of this cabin always present in my mind was when my family could come over and spend time here with me at the lake. I had most of them over during Memorial Day Weekend and here's a picture of part of my clan:

My oldest son, the boy that helped me so much during the build, had to leave Saturday morning for a previous commitment and is not in the picture, nor his wife and my oldest granddaughter.

We all had a grand time sitting around the campfire, fishing, telling stories, and sharing time together. Every bit of work with the sweat and tears were worth it when I got to have my loved ones over.

Just wanted to share this with my online family here in the forum, thanks for looking.

That picture tells a wonderful story and I know it was all worth it. We too had a great time with family over the holiday at our Texas home. Something about family that makes you feel wonderful. Bet they are all proud of you...I am.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate your feedback. Funny thing, the little girl in the dark blue blouse is a cousin to my granddaughter by marriage and before she left, I was "Grandpa Jimmy" to her too.......... gotta love de kids.
