Thanks for the nice compliment and yes Ma'am, those are laminated flooring.

My next chore is to install gas pipe under the house to the kitchen for my stove. Been a little chilly lately and I'm still using the ol handy hotplate to cook upon.

Sure looking forward to you and your better half getting down in the area Patti, you're gonna love living at Lake Eufaula. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a quick sell of your current home.

One of the things I've been looking forward to is having a place for the grandkids to sleep when they come over. I found these bunkbeds at a furniture place down in Talihina last summer, but they didn't take credit cards and I didn't have enough cash or my check book with me.

I drove down yesterday and picked up the bunkbeds I wanted, got em home and put in the utility room. Name: Bunkbeds 001.jpg

Some history goes with the yellow blanket on top and the old quilt down below.

I've had the yellow blanket since 1974 and used it when I drove cross-country trucks for Lee Way Motor Freight out of OKC. That ol yellow blanket has traveled right at one million miles and kept me warm many nights.

The quilt was given to me by my wife and since she is deceased, it has a special place in my heart. It's tattered and leaks a bit of cotton occasionally, but I'm kind of a tattered ol toot myself, so it does fine for me.

Next week I will be picking up some furniture and hanging some pictures, putting up what-nots, etc.... etc....

I'll be trying to take a few pictures as I get my new home fixed up. Thanks for looking and I'm looking forward to seeing some of you guys come by if you have time during out next "get-together". I'll brew up some fresh coffee when you come by.

Sounds like a deal. Love to see your place when it is finished. You really have accomplished something that not many would even tackle. Great job, Stink.

I had to order the above the range micro/vent hood and it came in last Friday. Got it put up today and wanted to share this picture of my finished kitchen.

I haven't vented it through the wall yet, left it in re-circulation mode for the time being. Before summer hits, I will install the vent kit and direct that hot air outside along with the sweet fragrance of crappie filets!:D

Oh, by the way, has anyone seen the new microwaves that don't use a turntable? This rascal has a different set-up in that it uses a rectangular tray that moves around.........back and forth, and I guess gives the same effect as a turntable, but without the food bumping up against the inside wall of the microwave oven. Pretty cool huh!
