Thanks jiggy and others, hopefully I will have it roofed this coming Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving. If so, I will post another picture then.

Thanks again folks, I appreciate your input.

Not going to have the metal roof on until the middle of next week, the first week of December. My roofers have it ready, but they just didn't have enough time to finish all that needed to be done so they could put the metal down.

They were successful at getting it decked with the felt paper down and the fascia board nailed on. They were also able to get the exterior sheeting up in the gable ends so the rain cannot get inside now. Its not really in the dry, but its going to stay dry from this point on.

And as you can see, the roof over the porch is finished. Happy Thanksgiving to you all on this fine holiday.:D

Stink - Looks like you should have it finished by March just in time for the christening party.

Below is a view I took while standing on my porch/deck looking down towards the water. You can see the shadow of my roof and the shoreline is around 120 feet. Sadly, there are very few crappie that hang around close to the water's edge along my property.

I may take out the cedar tree someday due to it blocking a good chunk of my view. Or, might leave it, haven't decided for sure.

Here's basically the same picture as above, but with the fascia board, the gable ends with siding, and tar paper on the roof.

And below is an interior shot standing in the northwest corner looking towards inside of the south wall.

Not a very big house as big houses go, but large enough for me. It will have two bedrooms (one of which will double as a utility room) and a nice sized bathroom. Kitchen will be open to the living room area and I will have a large bay window on the west wall looking down towards the water.

My bedroom will have a 6' sliding patio glass door opening to the porch/deck with a screened-in area only accessible from my bedroom. I love to sit outside but with the gnats, flies, and mosquitos, you can never really relax and enjoy yourself. The screened-in porch should eliminate the pests.:D

And yes, someday we might just have a little house-warming that will include anyone from crappie dot com that wants to stop in.

Thanks again for your compliments and I appreciate your encouragement.
