SW - That was my thought as well, a fissen po and Leland is workin overtime breakin it in. I bet by de time the cabin is don so will the gears in the reel.

All teasing aside, if Leland is giving a handmade rod as a gift I know Stink would be proud to have it and use it. I know I would. I am proud to own 2 of Leland's rods. When you own one of Leland's rods you just can't go back to store bought rods.:D

Here are some new pictures taken today after I've finished the north end of the house. I had to take the guttering down in order to be able to install the exterior corner trim on each side and put up some scaffolding in the rear of the cabin (east side) to finish the paint job and get the kitchen window (last window) installed.

Notice the corner trim does not go all the way to the top and won't until I install the soffit board under the porch roof. I want the corner trim to fit up flush against soffit trim along the west exterior wall. I could guess at it but will wait, been burned too many times in the past by guessing.

But I did get the window trimmed out and also the air conditioner. I decided to paint the trim for the ac the same as the exterior wall color since the window and ac are so close together. The ac trim blends in well with the wall.

The picture above is of the south end of the house and all this was completed in the spring before it got too hot for me to work outside.

And one more looking south. Notice the ramp is getting it's railing slowly but surely. Just (3) more sections to build of railings, the railing for the steps and then I will pour a concrete step at the base of the wooden steps. Just too much of a rise for older folks to step and one of my fishing buddie's wife just had hip surgery and she can't make a high step as it is.

Everything is amazingly still green for this time of year. I'll have a better view of the water once winter sets in and all the leaves fall. A good part of them didn't fall last winter, not sure why, but I'm hoping this year I will have an unblocked view of the lake.

I've been doing quite a bit of work on the inside and can post some pics........ but my inside pictures never seem to turn out as well as the outside shots. I'll try to get some updated photos of the interior as well as the outside next posting.
